The Community for School Improvement

The Community for School Improvement

In 2009 A4, an association for school improvement professionals, merged with the NSEAD. This special interest community has been established to continue and extend the previous work of A4 and the NSEAD.

Current NSEAD members (including former A4 members) who wish to join the Community for School Improvement Forum, will typically include those who provide support either in a full time capacity or more commonly as a part of their wider role within education. Thus forum members may be drawn from the ranks of LA Advisers, Inspectors and Consultants, Advanced Skills Teachers (ASTs), Regional Subject Advisers (RSAs) for the new secondary curriculum, Subject Leaders in Specialist Arts Colleges, Lecturers in Initial Teacher Training and Examiners who include outreach work supporting schools as a part of the their professional role.

CfSI Forum

The forum provides an opportunity for members who have a common professional interest in, and responsibility for providing advice to schools and teachers, to share ideas, information and resources. It provides a supportive and welcoming interactive community for those who often work in isolation in challenging circumstances. The broad range of expertise of its membership should provide a particularly rich source of advice, support and inspiration for its members.
