Well-being for teachers of Art, Craft and Design

The Imperial Hotel, London

Saturday 3rd February 2018

Teachers are reporting high levels of stress and burn out. Constant external pressures take the focus away from teaching. For art, craft and design teachers there are unique pressures...and solutions.

This one day course will give you the space to think and reflect as well as the opportunity to discuss, debate, explore and develop strategies to help align your life and contribute to your own creative well-being.

Some of the questions we will ask include:
• How is your 'wheel of life'?
• Why do we do what we do, teaching is a vocation, not just a job
• How do you achieve a 'work-life' balance when you are a teacher?
• What technologies can help a teacher of art, craft and design?
• How can you de-clutter your physical 'head' and cyber space?
• How can you deal with difficult people and situations in the workplace?
• Can networking make a difference?
• How can you succeed as an artist teacher?
• What can we change?
