(CPD) opportunities and resources. There are three sections to this area of the site:
General art and design education conferences and workshops in the
United Kingdom and major international events whether organised by NSEAD or by others.
The Artist Teacher Scheme section provides full up-to-date information
and links to a variety of courses that offer teachers a wide range of opportunities to reappraise, reinforce or
re-engage with their own thinking and personal development as artists by extending their awareness of the richness
and complexity of contemporary fine art practice. Courses from weekend workshops to Masters level are organised in
regional centres as a partnership between the NSEAD, a gallery or museum and a higher education institution.
The New Secondary Curriculum in England – the NSEAD is
contracted to provide subject leadership training for art and design. This area of the site will include details
of a programme of regional training days as well as a range of case studies to augment those on the art and design
area of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority web site.
