The Viral Project is a hands-on participatory project that will engage a wide range of participation in craft making. Critical to the project is a craft inspired viral cascade approach to learning.
The Viral Project will run for three years focusing on a different craft form in each year. The first year will focus on the Hyperbolic Coral Reef, encompassing crochet, geometry and ecology.
Each year the project will engage a range of museums and galleries, schools and community groups. There will be three sizes of kit.
A large kit for museums and galleries
A medium kit for schools
A micro kit for community groups
Each kit will contain everything you will need to know and have to begin your project, to include materials and worksheets, all stored on a memory stick, to include a poster display.
Participants will be encouraged to upload images of their projects onto the Crafts Council website.
