Teaching Art to Rural Seventh Graders: an Exploratory Approach

Several case-studies on aspects of art teaching in the USA have been reported. The teaching of art in rural settings, however, has been overlooked. This is a report on a study that describes, analyses and interprets (1) the viewpoints and instruction of one rural seventh grade art teacher, and (2) her students' preferences and responses in relation to their context.
