Bretton Hall College

Anderson describes Bretton Hall College, near Wakefield in West Yorkshire, which is based in an 18th century mansion set in parkland that is also the home to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The College was founded in 1949 and is unusual in that it is mainly committed to educational activities related to creativity and performance in the arts. There are courses in Art and Design (Visual Arts, or Fashion and Textiles), Dance, Drama, Music, Theatre Studies and Inter-Arts. The ethos of the college, the various courses and opportunities provided by the College are described briefly.
