Gender Issues in Tertiary Art Education

Volume 9.2   1990

Dinah Dosser is essentially concerned to question conventions of aggressive competition in tertiary art education, the legacies of abstract expressionism and hardedge brutalism. Her argument is that there are educational alternatives to the antagonistic studio or seminar critique, a convention that in the past has ensured the crediting of assertiveness as itself an indicator of creative substance.
