Creativity in Art and Science: A Personal View

Volume 15.3   1996

A personal view of creativity in art and science is developed. Definitions of creativity emphasise connections in the process of solving problems, expressing ideas and feelings. This characteristic is important in art and design and science. There are teaching techniques that may be adopted to foster creative behaviour in school and the continuing art and design practice of teachers makes a significant contribution to classroom performance. Reference is made to connections in the work of the author.
