Careers information - Creative Futures

The NSEAD publishes a comprehensive guide to courses and careers in Art and Design called 'Creative Futures'. The book is for school pupils, art teachers, parents, careers advisors, further education students and mature students. The aim is to provide information for anyone interested in art, craft and design careers. the format has been carefully planned to provide easy access to specific information as and when the need arises.

Jobs4u is an occupational database which has introductory summaries and further, more detailed, information on over 800 jobs. The regularly updated database offers search facilities to give young people ideas about the kind of careers that might suit them, searching on subjects, qualifications, salary information and interests.

The Working in series is a set of over 40 full-colour booklets featuring real people in real jobs telling readers what it is like to work in a particular occupation and industry. Educational establishments in England delivering secondary education are entitled to receive free copies of each title as they are produced. Copies are also available to view or download from the Connexions Direct website.

Hobsons' 'Guide to Studying Visual and Arts' is available on line at Hobsons. It includes a database of art schools, colleges and universities offering visual and creative art courses and provides additional advice.
