Learn more about our All-Party Parliamentary Group for Art, Craft and Design in Education and how the APPG is helping our members and our subject

The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Art, Craft and Design in Education is an informal cross-party group which is run by and for Members of the Commons and Lords. The secretariat is organised by NSEAD. The APPG for Art, Craft and Design in Education meets in Westminster a minimum of once per term.

The APPG for Art, Craft and Design in Education believes that art, craft and design education is essential to the economy and to the cultural, spiritual, creative and social wellbeing of all; that it empowers individuals, enabling them to engage with our rich visual and cultural heritage, express themselves and become visually literate and perceptive; and that access to high quality art, craft and design education is an entitlement for everyone.

The formation of the The APPG for Art, Craft and Design in Education has enabled NSEAD to share and debate issues concerning art, craft and design in education in government and with the highest level of opinion formers and policy makers.

You can read our agendas and minutes. Our presentations are also shared here and/or in our members' Research and Reports section of our website
