This online course is session 2 of 6 of the Mind the Art Gap NSEAD ECT Support programme.
This is one of two sessions that will be led by members of the NSEAD Expert community, Kimberley Appleyard-Pallot and Karen Clifford will be bringing their insight and experience to support you as you develop your practice in curriculum and pedagogy.
Online Twilight Session
Karen Clifford and Kimberley Appleyard- Pallot will lead the first of two sessions exploring the essential and desirable theoretical and practical knowledge needed for the secondary art and design curriculum, including: the selection of artists, designers and makers for contextualising the planned curriculum; development of the artistic elements as a part of the practical skills knowledge and understanding to be gained in each key stage and used to organise the schemes within the planned curriculum.

Kimberley Appleyard-Pallot
Kimberley is a valued member of the NSEAD member community, Director of Art at a sector leading independent boarding school, an NSEAD forum member and founder of the South West Artist Teachers (SWAT) Regional network.
Karen Clifford
Karen is Head of Faculty Arts and Technology in a large non-selective academy trust in Surrey. Karen has over 30 years’ experience as an Art teacher and is a valued member of the NSEAD member community.
