The Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge seeks to appoint a two Teaching Associates in Education.
Teaching duties will cover teaching, supervision and assessment at masters level, and include normal administrative duties associated with teaching and supervision. There may also be opportunities to supervise at Masters level.
Candidates will hold a PhD, or be close to completion, in an arts-related subject (including but not limited to: visual arts and film, music and sound design, live/digital installation practices, fictioning and speculative writing cultures, performance art and performing cultures) You will have experience of teaching that demonstrates links to the Arts, Creativities and Education MPhil programme, including a specialism in one or more of the following areas: decolonial and critical race studies; new materialisms and posthuman onto-epistemologies for arts and arts education research; queer theory and embodied poetics/politics. An ability to undertake teaching-related administration will be required, alongside strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Both positions are part-time at 0.6FTE. Applicants should note that, although the total time to be spent on the course is equivalent to 0.6FTE, some flexibility in work schedule is required due to variable nature of teaching hours and to attend relevant meetings.
