The Society’s principal concern must be that it is quite extraordinary that given the importance of the creative industries to the British economy - importance acknowledged by the DCMS - that the White Paper makes only one passing reference to the 'visual arts' and no mention at all of Art & Design, Design and Technology or ICT.
