Workshop aims & outcomes

Demystifying, exploring and adapting the Oak art and design curriculum.

Developed in partnership with NSEAD, art education experts, and Oak National Academy, this curriculum is grounded in expertise and designed to support high-quality, inclusive art teaching across all settings.

Join me for an inspiring, hands-on workshop that introduces the Oak National Academy’s art and design curriculum and brings it to life. This session is designed for primary and secondary teachers to explore how Oak’s rich, thoughtfully sequenced resources can be used, adapted, and personalised to meet the unique needs of their pupils and settings.

You’ll experience how Oak breaks down rich explanations and practical art tasks with clarity, making high-quality art learning accessible for all. Together, we’ll delve into lessons that celebrate a diverse range of artists, styles, and cultural perspectives, all supported by clear instructional design that prioritises progression and creativity.

Whether you’re looking to enrich your current curriculum or redesign it, this session will equip you with adaptable tools and fresh ideas to inspire your teaching.

This workshop is suitable for educators in all phases.
