'Studying online has opened a world of possibilities…' – Anita, online student
With a renewed emphasis from the UK Government on skills, flexibility and lifelong learning, this CPD session will support you in understanding how online study is evolving to meet this agenda, and how you can be supporting students to navigate alternatives to traditional on-campus study.
Led by Falmouth University, pioneers in creative, online education for a decade, you will hear directly from current online students about their experience, explore common myths about online learning, and gain practical insight into what high-quality, creative online education really looks like today.
By the end of the session, you will:
- Understand how modern online undergraduate degrees are designed and delivered
- Be able to challenge common myths about online study
- Recognise which students may benefit most from online pathways
- Feel confident presenting online study as a legitimate university option
- Be equipped to support students who might otherwise opt out of higher education
- Understand how online study supports lifelong learning and skills development aligned with industry needs
