We're delighted to announce NSEAD is a recipient of The Council for Subject Associations (CfSA) Kitemark. The CfSA awards Kitemarks for subject associations that demonstrate exemplary practice and sustained impact in supporting teachers and strengthening education; showing outstanding commitment to our subject community; providing vital CPD, resources, and advocacy that make a real difference in classrooms across the UK.
CfSA also awarded the Kitemark to The English Association saying: 'Both organisations embody what subject associations do best: connecting educators, championing subject-specific expertise, and ensuring that teachers have access to the specialist support they need to thrive.'
As accredited associations for excellence, we join a growing community of organisations setting the standard for subject-specific professional support in education.
The CfSA is an umbrella organisation, independent of Government, which represents subject associations nationally and allows them to speak with a single voice on key issues and consultations. CfSA represents over 30 subject associations. NSEAD is unique amongst its membership being a professional association, subject-specific trade union and learned society.
Michele Gregson, NSEAD general secretary and CEO, says:
'Thank you CfSA for this recognition of the work of our Society. NSEAD was a founding member of the Council for Subject Associations back in 2007. This means a lot to us!'
