The elections for NSEAD Council have concluded and we are delighted to welcome ten new members, who will take up office on 1 January 2026 for a three-year term, plus our new President Elect.
The new members bring a range of expertise and experience from across the UK, complementing existing expertise on Council and representing all phases and sectors of art education.
Please welcome the following new members of Council:

- Ruth Bose (Secondary, Yorkshire & Humber)
- Stephanie Cubbin (Secondary, East of England)
- Laurence Dube-Rushby (ECT, South West/East)
- Richard Firth (HE, Scotland)
- Laura Musselbrook (Secondary, South East)
- Sally Richardson (Secondary, South East)
- Clare Stanhope (Secondary, London)
- Rebecca Twiston-Davies (Secondary, South East)
We also welcome Jason Forrest (HE, London) as a co-opted member.
Council member Emma Sutton is elected as our President for 2027-28 and will work alongside current President Andy Ash as President Elect throughout next year. Congratulations, Emma.
This month we also say goodbye to retiring members of Council. We extend our thanks to the following members for their contribution to the governance and leadership of NSEAD during their term:

We are excited to look forward to the next chapter in NSEAD history, with a skilled governance and leadership team to steer us through.
