Stephanie Cubbin

Secondary (East of England)

Stephanie Cubbin is an artist based in Norwich and a member of Carrow House Creatives, an artist collective working from Carrow House Studios. She studied Fine Art and Scenic painting and began her career as a scenic artist. Alongside a 25-year career in education, Stephanie has maintained a sustained independent artistic practice.

Her work is rooted in a long-standing fascination with maps, migration, borders and place. Inclusivity and collaboration in art education are central to her practice, with the art room remaining a space for expansive investigation and creative enquiry.

Stephanie holds an MA in Art and Education, with research focused on creativity in education. This led to her being part of the strategic leadership group for the London Creative Collaborative during its three-year Arts Council England pilot programme.

With over 20 years of subject leadership in art education settings, she brings extensive experience in curriculum design, arts policy and inclusive creative practice. Her work spans national curriculum development, school arts leadership, community engagement and artist residencies. As co-lead on the NSEAD and Oak National Academy Art & Design curriculum, she has contributed to the development of sector-leading resources grounded in research and representation.

In addition to her studio practice, Stephanie teaches part time in Norfolk and works as an arts and creativity consultant, supporting creative learning and cultural engagement.
