Steven has been an educator for nearly 20 years, and currently is Director of Arts, Culture and Community for the Odyssey Trust for Education.
He contributes widely to education including assessment, research, and advisory roles. Steven trained as a composer, completing a PhD with Judith Weir at Cardiff University, and has taught music in independent schools and specialist training. Since 2017 he has been a Visiting Research Fellow at King’s College London, and part of the programme team for the MA Education in Arts and Cultural Settings and more recently has contributed to postgraduate teaching at Buckingham and Reading universities.
