Rose is a stalwart NSEAD member who has received the award for her work as a textiles researcher, curator and academic in textiles and design. She is a highly experienced educator and a senior lecturer in the department of design education at Goldsmith's University of London.

In 2022, Rose was co-curator of Althea McNish: Colour is Mine exhibition at the William Morris Gallery (2022) and at the Whitworth, Manchester (2023). But Rose’s MBE is also in recognition of a 30-year period of researching, sharing and celebrating black women’s crafts.

Rose has kindly spoken at our conferences and written for AD Magazine (Issue 36). On behalf of all NSEAD members, we congratulate Rose on this fantastic and deserved award.
