NSEAD shares a statement written by a group of Art and Design PGCE trainee teachers.
On February 2 2024 NSEAD's General Secretary Michele Gregson wrote to Gillian Keegan, the Secretary of State for Education, to highlight the individual and collective issues many Art and Design Trainee Teachers are facing.
In her letter, Michele Gregson shared a statement written by a group of Art and Design PGCE trainee teachers who she met during a visit to their centre. In their statement, the students acknowledged the importance of the recently announced £10,000 bursaries for 2024 PGCE students and urged the government to provide equivalent financial support to the 2023 cohort.
