Printmaking processes have the potential to generate mess, but clearly, such activities will benefit from good planning which anticipates possible hazards and organisational problems. Where oil-based solvents or linseed oil is used for cleaning with rags, these should be placed in a bucket of water or suitable air-tight container, which is emptied regularly and contents disposed of appropriately.
